ZUNI JEWELLERY
"Semi precious stone which is cut and designed into inlay jewellery is a skill held almost exclusively by the Zuni:pueblo tribes' people. They are well known for stone cutting skills; both channel inlay (using precisely cut stones set on silver to form figures and designs) and cluster or needle point (small, similarly cut stones set in circular or other geometric patterns). Their exceptional skill, sense of design and striking use of natural gemstones has allowed the Zuni people to produce exquisite jewellery, now recognised worldwide. These items are unique and can often be "one off" pieces."
